Shorter days and morning frost are all signs of fall, which also means it is time for the Yellowstone Fall Photo Festival.
This event, now in its 12th year, allows photographers to share some of their favorite photos taken in the greater Yellowstone area with other photographers and with the public.
The festival will be held at the West Yellowstone Visitor Information Center on Wednesday, September 17 at 7:00 p.m., according to a statement released by the Yellowstone National Park public affairs office. The event is sponsored by the National Park Service and the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center.
This is not a show where framed prints are hung on the wall. Instead, photographers are asked to provide digital images in a PowerPoint presentation or as individual JPEG files on a thumb drive or CD-ROM. Photographers will narrate their presentations, which are limited to 25 images or five minutes.
Interested photographers should contact Rich Jehle at 307-344-2840 or 307-344-2754 or by email at [email protected] for more information. Participants must register by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 16.
